Renting a power bank
What is Last Bar?
Last Bar is a UK business developing an automated portable power-bank rental service. The idea is simple: rent a charged power bank from a station at a participating venue or event, keep your phone going while you're out, then return it.
We're currently building our first venue partnerships and evaluating equipment and operating arrangements. Last Bar stations are not yet available to rent from.
When will Last Bar launch?
We haven't set a launch date yet. Launch depends on confirming suitable equipment, payment and rental software, and our first venue partners.
If you run a venue or event and would like to be involved early, we'd like to hear from you.
Where will stations be available?
We plan to start with venue partnerships in Bournemouth and Poole, then explore other UK locations and events over time.
No stations are installed yet, and we'll only list locations once a venue has agreed and a station is in place.
How does a rental work?
The intended experience is: find a station, follow the on-screen instructions, complete payment, take a power bank, and return it to a compatible Last Bar station according to the rental terms.
The exact steps will depend on the equipment and rental software we choose, and we'll publish full rental terms before launch.
How much does it cost?
Planned launch pricing: £4 for each hour or part of an hour, and never more than £12 in any 24 hours.
If it isn't returned within 48 hours, the total charge is £25 and the power bank is yours to keep.
When you rent, a temporary hold of £25 is placed on your card. When you return the power bank, you're only charged for the time you used and the rest of the hold is released. Your bank may take 2–7 days to release it.
